Learning Maya

I've learn Autodesk Maya since Dec 1st, 2007 until now. I was unable to practice at home due to lack of time.. i try to practice at saturday and sunday every 2 hours but it still keep me unable to operate Autodesk Maya.
My purpose to learn Maya is still questioning mark, for work purpose? for habbit? or just for fun only.. i'm still don't know yet.
My only reason to learn maya is try to helping my brother, understanding what maya is? how to use it? and try to make him get in my place to work..
